Tempo! Music Therapy Services is a unique organization providing creative arts therapies in addition to giving back to the community through our outreach programs. Please check back in the future for any job openings. Applicants for any of our music therapy positions must hold a current MT-BC certificate (or equivalent) or must be eligible for board certification. Please send cover letter and resume to Angela Guerriero. Interviews are by appointment only.
Tempo! works with local universities in training pre-service music therapists, both in practicum (pre-internship) as well as internship. This experience is unique in that students may be working with several different therapists in the studio, local schools, and other community locations. Hours may vary depending on the day, and some evening or weekend work may be required. It is helpful for the students to have a car and to be flexible in adjusting to the various needs of clients.
Volunteers are an essential part of Tempo's programs, performing a wide range of services including helping at special events, assisting families, therapists and teachers, as well as visitors. If you want a rewarding volunteer experience, Tempo! has many opportunities available. For more information, please fill out the volunteer application form and email it to Angela Guerriero.
Tempo! partners with individuals with disabilities and their schools and families to provide vocational training in the workplace. Students can participate in an internship program, which they will attend with their job coach (if necessary) in order to gain valuable skills to maximize their employment independence and, ultimately, full inclusion into society.
