We offer a free preview of the parent/child class so that each family can experience Music Together® before they commit to the semester. A description of the class is below and a schedule of trial classes is listed in our class schedule section. If there are no trial classes listed, you may visit one ongoing class as your trial class. If there are trial classes scheduled but you would like to participate in an ongoing class instead, that option is available on our trial registration form.
This is the essential Music Together® class, one that a child can attend from birth through age six through all the song collections. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers – grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading young ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, charting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers – parents, grandparents, nanny – can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.
